- 12:12 pm – On the way to the airport to pick up Doc and Julio, David dropped Thacher near the National Historic site dedicated to Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, jr.
- 2:00 pm – Successful rendezvous at the Heartsfield International Airport.
- 2:30 pm – reconnoitre all personnel at the March. We hear, among others, Barbara Lee, congresswoman from California who stood alone with her vote against the Bush juggernaut, the Patriot Act and action against Iraq. Being in that crowd in that place at that moment was a moving experience for all of us, one which we will not soon forget.
- 4:00 pm – retired to Lil’ Five Points Neighborhood, seduced by shopping heaven and a great East Indian meal at Calcutta restaurant.
- 9:00 pm – One Drum pow wow yields new ideas for tomorrows show.
- 11:00 pm – Roman vanishes.
- 11:01 pm – One Drum stops looking for Roman. We will remember Amanda’s digs for the sound of train passing through the night, rumbling us to sleep. Sound is, after all, vibration.
